God had called Jeremiah out of hiddenness, into the life of a prophet. God was placing His words into Jeremiah’s mouth. It would not be easy, in fact, it would be so hard, Jeremiah came to be known as the weeping prophet. God’s call is not to ease, but to obedience. A life with God is so much better than any life of ease without Him. May we be willing to say, “Here I am God, send me, no matter the cost.”
