God performed many miracles through Elisha’s ministry, but it was not because of anything Elisha did, it was because Elisha was obedient. Elisha had learned to listen and obey the voice of the Lord. He stood out among a rebellious and sinful nation as a man dedicated unto the Lord. It was not easy being a prophet, but it was worth it. The man of God knew where his strength and his peace came from, and he was a light and hope to the people during a very dark and heavy time.
